Carbon Looper:
a carbon dioxide capturing cellulosic material

A cellulosic yarn, functionalised by amine containing molecules,
has been developed to capture CO
2 from the surrounding air.

According to the latest estimates, global temperature is on track to rise by 2.5°C to
4.5°C by 2100

Cellulosic Yarns

is made by TEMPO mediated oxidation of cellulose,
followed by the amine functionalisation via grafting reaction
